ZE Class 2-8-2 No.10 was photographed at Gondia Junction shed on 27 October 1986. The ZEs had been the mainstay of services on the Satpura Railway, a network of 762mm gauge lines radiating from Nagpur and Gondia with a total length of almost 1000km but dieselisation was underway and the ZEs would lose their remaining line work within months.
