Superheated Septuagenarian
No.615 was the third of 30 BS Class 2-8-2s built for the Bengal Nagpur Railway by Nasmyth Wilson, North British and Yorkshire Engine between 1915 and 1924. They were the first superheated locos on the Satpura lines and the principal power until the arrival of the ZE Class in the 1950s. No.615 was built by Nasmyth Wilson as its No.1089 in 1915 and was photographed at Nagpur Junction's SER shed on 27 October 1986.
