Dust Train
37130 and 37024 rolled through the cutting at Buxworth with a very dusty westbound stone train on the afternoon of 29 May 1986.37130 was refurbished in 1986, becoming 37681 but its career came to a premature end after collision damage in 1992 and it was scrapped in 1995. 37024's story has a happier ending. It became 37714 after refubishment in 1988 and transferred to EWS at privatisation. In 2001 it went to work on infrastructure projects in Spain, returning in 2012. The loco was then employed by DRS as a shunter at Daventry for a couple of years before going into store and then entering preservation. It is currently based on the Great Central Railway.
