Original Colours
The number of Class 66s carrying the original EWS maroon and gold colours had declined significantly over the previous year with many repainted into DBC red while others had been put in store. 66188 was still looking fairly smart as it led 6Z41, a 13:28 Peterborough West Yard to Mountsorrel Sidings stone empties, away from Melton Mowbray on 6 October 2024.
