If At First You Don't Succeed . . .
Despite many attempts to photograph the GWR Class 769s when they were being tested in the Reading area, this is the first shot that I'm happy with, taken several years later and 150 miles away from Reading. Now converted for possible parcels use, 769535 and 769549 were on a 5Q65, 09:29 Northampton - Peterborough test run operated by GBRf, and are seen here heading east from Melton Mowbray on 30 September 2025.
