56103 had an outing from Willesden to Bristol on 18 June 2025, piloting 60096 on 6V25, the 09:53 Quainton Railhead to Tytherington stone empties. It was rumoured at the time that the reason was to reduce the level of fuel in the tank prior to maintenance but, whatever the cause, it was very welcome.The train is seen here approaching Reading, not the most scenic location but better than nothing, which was the only other option open to me.
