Melton Junction
Large Logo Blue 66789 passed Melton Junction with 4L05, the 05:20 Ditton to Felixstowe containers, on 2 June 2025. This is where the former Midland Railway route to Nottingham diverges from the Leicester - Peterborough line, half a mile to the west of Melton Station signal box. The Nottingham & Melton was closed in 1967 but has been retained from Melton Junction to Edwalton, on the outskirts of Nottingham, as the Old Dalby Test Track.
