Mixed Train
455741 and 455723 worked 2C49, the 16:09 from Waterloo to Reading, north from Wokingham on 25 May 2025. This elevated view clearly shows the difference in profiles between the 3rd and 6th vehicles, built in the late 1970s for the Class 508 EMUs, and the remaining coaches. The Class 508s each lost a trailer when the units were reformed as 3-car sets and transferred to Merseyside in the early 1980s and these were incorporated into the second batch of new build Class 455s.
