Broken Promises
Nice to see that the Class 455s have outlasted the South Western Railway franchise that promised to send them to the scrapper several years ago. 455738 and 455848 worked north from Wokingham on 2C43, the 14:39 from Waterloo to Reading, on 25 May 2025, the day SWR returned to public ownership. Sadly the respite will probably be short lived as the much delayed Class 701s have finally started to enter service.
