View From Bratton Down
I'd been meaning to see if there was a shot from Bratton Down for ages and finally got round to it on 4 March 2025. Luckily Freightliner provided a couple of orange locos for the two trains I photographed there. 66605 headed east into open country with 6A61, the 12:24 Whatley Quarry to West Drayton stone at 13:00, passing Horse Croft Farm. In the background Trowbridge is visible with Bradford on Avon beyond on the left and the hills north east of Bath on the horizon.
