Moreton Departmental

66064 dragged 37886 and 7V27, the 14:51 Eastleigh - Hinksey departmental, north past South Moreton on the afternoon of 13 June 2003.

By 2003 the Thames Valley was becoming a much less interesting place to photograph trains. The loco hauled Cross Country and postal services finished that year leaving only the freights, which ran unpredictably and were increasingly being worked by Class 66s. Apart from the odd Class 47 or 57, the older classes had all but disappeared. Time to switch my focus to Europe where there was still plenty to see.
