A Lonely Outpost
A heavy westbound freight slogged upgrade past a lonely level crossing on the windswept prairies west of Chagangada. QJ 6882 and 6977 would soon reach the summit, a few kilometers further west and the end of 50 km of continuous climbing from Yamenmiao. From there, it was level or downhill all the way to Gulumanhan. 12 December 2004.
