Quadruple Header
Quadruple headers weren't unknown on the Zhongwei - Gantang line, but usually only on downhill trains. One engine would have been more than sufficient power for this short downhill freight but it was used to get four locos back to Zhongwei and save a path on the busy single track line. QJ 2816, QJ 2313, QJ 2924 and QJ 7164 were photographed approaching Mengjiawan in hazy conditions on the morning of 17 January 1991.
