Semaphore Signalled
The semaphore signals at most stations on the Ji-Tong railway added a lot to the character of the line. In a country where colour lights had been the norm for many years, it's remarkable that a line built in the 1990's was equipped with proper signals. QJ 7041 & 6356 worked into Liudigou with a long westbound freight on 29 September 2002.The semaphores didn't last long after the end of steam working in 2005. By autumn 2006, every station on the Pass had been re-equipped with colour lights.
