Mystery MU

2-EPB 6275 (416.275) was a surprise when it headed west from Pirbright Junction on the afternoon of 12 July 1990, possibly heading empty to Eastleigh Works. The significance of the red band above the windows of the second coach is also unknown. Normally it would indicate a catering vehicle, not something usually found in a high-density inner-suburban EMU.
