Avoiding Eastleigh
After a Freightliner derailed at Eastleigh on 28 January 2020, it took several days to remove the derailed wagons and repair the track. During that period, export car traffic for Southampton was diverted from Reading, via Guildford and Fareham to rejoin the normal route at St Denys.
