70 On Stone
70017 passed Lowgill with 4Z25, an 06:15 Crewe Basford Hall to Hardendale Quarry stone empties, on 19 March 2025. It wasn't the first time I'd seen a Freightliner class 70 on a stone train but it's not something that happens with any regularity in my usual haunts. There are plenty of Freightliner 70s around but only on intermodal traffic.
