Earley Night
The Network Rail test train visited the Reading Area on the evening of 1 August 2024, powered by a pair of Class 73/9s as seems the norm these days. 73963 led 1Q54 past Earley on its way from Staines to Reading, with 73965 bringing up the rear. The timings hadn't changed but the usual schedule had been split in two and the train was running as a 19:58 from Reading to Tonbridge West Yard on this occasion.
