Exotic Beasts
The Southern Region's Class 73 electro-diesels were exotic beasts to someone brought up hundreds of miles from third rail territory and it was a pleasant surprise to see GBRF's 73.109 and 73.107 on their home turf when I visited Eastleigh on 24 September 2016. The pair were working 1Z63, an 07:45 Tonbridge to Swanage special.
