Oil & Brake Dust
Some derided the Rail blue livery as being rather bland but I thought it looked good when it was clean. That certainly wasn't the case here as a filthy 31462 passed Chinley East Junction on the morning of 29 May 1986 with 1E34, the 08:45 Liverpool Lime St to Sheffield passenger.31462 was withdrawn in 1998 and sold to Fragonset. It enjoyed a brief return to service in 2000-2001 but was scrapped in 2006.
