A Class Apart
Having passed the summit at Savernake, 59.206 could take it easy for a while as it rolled downhill through Wootton Rivers with 6C76, the 14:39 Acton T.C. to Whatley Quarry stone empties, on 8 June 2021. Many of the Mendip Rail stone trains are timetabled as Class 7 workings as they regularly include wagons restricted to 45 mph. On the occasions that they're made up entirely of 60 mph capable vehicles, they run as Class 6, which is useful when they need to keep out of the way of IETs.
