It was 21 December 1979 and I'd just arrived at Ponferrada for the first time. After collecting a photo permit, it was off to the shed to find some metre gauge steam.
Two of the line's 2-6-0+4 engines, Nos.31 and 11 kept company with 2-6-2T No.6.
