Hirschau Bahnhof

294.647 was about to go back to work after its lunchtime break at Hirschau on 11 May 2016.

Although it hasn’t seen a regular passenger service since 1976, Hirschau station is still in use with a section of platform visible to the right and the station building and goods shed behind the loco. The three track yard is used as a base for local shunting operations and to assemble loaded china clay trains for dispatch to Amberg.
