751.141 was one of two 751s rebuilt in 1996-7 with an auxiliary diesel engine to provide power when the full output of the main engine wasn't required. Fuel savings were said to be around 25% but no further locos were modified. 751 141 also received a new control system with electronic displays making it unique.
