A Grand Finale

The Mezimesti line gained several additional freight workings in May 2007 when the Lichkov - Miedzylesie border crossing was temporarily closed for electrification work. My June visit was dogged with bad weather but on the final morning I made one last desperate attempt to get the Brezova u Broumova curve shot. The weather wasn't looking good as I left Nachod but further north the sun came out and stayed out for the 09:40 freight from Mezimesti. The 755s were having a rest so 751 220 and 751 101 provided the power. This was what I'd come for and I could now go home with a smile on my face.
