Freight Substitutes
Pairs of class 742 diesels sometimes substituted for the usual class 751s on freights between Kadan and Karlovy Vary. 742.294 and 742.218 are seen taking a run at the bank out of Vojkovice with a westbound train of empty coal hoppers on 4th October 2003. In earlier years many westbound freights took a banker between Vojkovice and the summit at Hajek. The heaviest trains are still banked but the assisting engine often runs through all the way from Kadan.camera : Fuji S2Pro
