Last of the Line

The locos of class 130 are the last of a line of medium power freight locos that started with the class 121 in 1960. In spite of developments in the intervening period, the vital statistics changed little between successive builds. The 130 is a 2040 kW, 85 ton Bo-Bo with a maximum speed of 100 km/h. CD's fleet was based at Ceska Trebova in 2006 but did much of it's work on the lines radiating from Hradec Kralove.

130.021 worked a westbound freight towards the extensive yards at Nymburk on 1 May 2006. The location is between Velke Zbozi and Podebrady.
