CD's class 852 and 853 railcars have progressively been upgraded to class 854s by PARS of Sumperk. The rebuilt units are powered by Caterpillar engines and have vastly improved interiors. Unfortunately most of the trailers have yet to be dealt with and are still pretty grim inside.

854 007 was working R945 from Tanvald to Praha when it was photographed arriving at Zelezny Brod on 01 May 2006. The 742 on the right was being used on engineering duties on the line east towards Semily.
