Stabled YJ
One of Baotou Steelworks' fleet of YJ Class 2-6-2s was stabled at the depot on 6 January 1990. The YJs were a post war development of the PL2 Class 2-6-2s introduced by the Japanese during the period of occupation and were closely related to the JF6 Class 2-8-2s, forerunners of the SYs. YJ 241 had clearly seen better days and had been taken out of service by the end of the year.
