Slogging Up The Hill

This picture shows JF 2369, built in 1957, tackling the gradient above Baimagou with a train of empties for Wangshiwa colliery on 11 February 2004. The Tongchuan line is notable for its steep gradients and trains of empties faced several km of solid slog to reach Wangshiwa colliery, high in the hills east of Tongchuan.
