After cooling their heels for a hour at Yamenmiao to cross an eastbound freight and the passenger, QJ 6984 and 6891 got underway again with a long westbound freight. After a short downhill run to the river bridge, the pair faced 50 km of solid climb to the summit between Chaganhada and Gulumanhan.
