Concrete Pole Alley
By late 2004, much of the railway had been parallelled by a low voltage power line. The vast open prairies between Yamenmiao and Diaojiaduan were transformed into a narrow alley between two rows of hideous concrete poles and lost most of their photographic appeal overnight. QJ 6988 approached the summit with an eastbound freight on 4 December 2004.
