QJ 6009 was amongst the locos being serviced at Baotou Xi Depot on 18 January 1991. Like many of the locos present, it was a Hohhot based engine, getting ready to return eastwards. Baotou Xi's own locos worked local traffic in the Baotou Area and the main line to the west
