Just when we thought it was all over, No.043 set off for Hongguang with two empty wagons and a van at 11:30 on 18 November 2008. This, we were assured, really was the last train until the mines reopened. The empty wagons were to be left at Hongguang and the loco and van would return to Huanan after dark.
