The YJ Class 2-6-2 was a Chinese built development of the pre-war PL2 Class, closely related to the JF6 Class 2-8-2s, forerunners of the familiar SY Class. 202 were built between 1958 and 1961 and most worked in the steel industry. Many were withdrawn in the 1980s or 1990s but a few survived into the early 2000s
